During a press conference in 2023, Harris shared an anecdote from her mother that led to the infamous "fell out of a coconut tree" meme.

Harris stated, "I don't know what's wrong with you young people, you think you just fell out of a coconut tree? You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you."

The phrase, intended to highlight the importance of understanding one's context, quickly went viral for being unhinged but strangely inspiring.  

Laughing Off Socialism Accusations

"We invested an additional $12 billion into community banks, because we know community banks are in the community, and understand the needs and desires of that community as well as the talent and capacity of the community," Harris said.

In a NBC News interview, Harris stated, "We've been to the border. We've been to the border." When pressed by the interviewer that she herself hadn't been to the border, she responded, ""I – and I haven't been to Europe.
