About Mike Luckovich - Mike Luckovich of the Atlanta Constitution received two amazing honors in 2006, winning both a Pulitzer Prize and the Reuben award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year. This was the second Pulitzer for Luckovich; his first was awarded in 1995. He had previously received the Reuben award for Editorial Cartooning in 2001, but this was his first time to be named the overall outstanding cartoonist by a group of his peers. About Steve Kelley - Steve Kelley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is a syndicated editorial cartoonist, comic strip creator, comedian, and writer. He has previously served as staff political cartoonist for The San Diego Union / The San Diego Union-Tribune and The New Orleans Times-Picayune. He began work at the Post-Gazette in November 2018. Kelley is co-creator and writer of the award-winning syndicated comic strip Dustin which King Features Syndicate distributes to more than 370 newspaper clients and websites. While trying to draw figures in the eccentric style of Mad Magazine cartoonist Don Martin, he was struck by the insight that he had inadvertently drawn Lyndon Johnson. He has won 2 National Cartoonists Society awards for Best Editorial Cartoonist, (1995, 1999). He was a Pulitzer finalist in 1997. He was named The Week Magazine Cartoonist of the Year in 2007. About Bob Gorrell - Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Bob Gorrell attended the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1977. After two years as staff artist at the Ft. Myers News-Press in Florida, and three years in North Carolina at the Charlotte News, he arrived at the Richmond News Leader in Virginia during 1983. Gorrell moved to the Richmond Times-Dispatch in 1992, and served there as editorial cartoonist until resigning in January 1998 to concentrate on syndicated editorial and comics page features. From October 2001 through January 2004, Gorrell was Editorial Cartoonist for AOL News. That platform gives Gorrell one of the nation’s largest daily audiences from among AOL’s 33 million subscribers. About Gary Varvel - Gary Varvel is the editorial cartoonist for The Indianapolis Star. Born in Indianapolis in 1957, Varvel was drawn to cartoons as a child when he saw a copy of MAD magazine. In 1974, he met Jerry Barnett, the editorial cartoonist for The Indianapolis News who mentored and encouraged him to pursue a career in cartooning.
