In
a recent appearance
on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) made pointed remarks about her House colleague, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), suggesting a lack of intellectual capability.

When asked by host Jimmy Kimmel if Greene was "the dumbest person in the House of Representatives," Crockett responded, "I'd be hard-pressed to find someone dumber."

The comment comes in the wake of
a heated exchange between the two representatives
during a late-night House hearing last month.

The hearing, which was intended to focus on Attorney General Merrick Garland and a potential contempt of Congress charge, quickly devolved into personal attacks.

Crockett explained the situation to Kimmel, stating, "And the hearing was supposed to be about the AG, right? So, we're supposed to be talking about AG Merrick Garland. And she starts talking about Judge [Juan] Merchan."

Judge Merchan, who presided over
former President Trump's hush money trial in New York
, became an unexpected topic of discussion during the hearing. This departure from the intended subject matter apparently frustrated Crockett.

"So, now I'm upset 'cause it's already late at night, [I've] been here all day, ready to work, y'all aren't here. And you're still talking about that failed trial. So, I had to ask her if she understood, 'cause she's not the brightest," Crockett elaborated.

As of now, Representative Greene has not publicly responded to Crockett's comments on the late-night show.
