$33M Debt and a Hampton's Tragedy
The backdrop for this tragedy was none other than the favored summer holiday spot of the ultra-wealthy, the Hamptons. Rumors were already swirling of indiscriminate spending and staggering debt, but Mama and Tate continued to churn out exclusive summer content.
Mr. Miller died, without a will, after poisoning himself in the garage of the family’s Hamptons home.
According to Ms. Miller's court filings
, he had $33.6 million in debt and just $8,000 in the bank, leaving her to pick up the pieces.

Brandon Miller's $33M Debt Unveiled
Brandon Miller was a high-profile New York real estate developer whose debts included a $11.3 million loan from BMO Bank in Chicago and a $2.1 million loan from UBS Bank. The Hamptons vacation home alone was loaded with five mortgages totaling nearly $12 million,
according to a NY Times report
.
Far from the lavish lifestyle of social media, Ms. Miller fell into an all too common trap: staying out of her husband's business dealings and not getting involved in their personal finance.

Candice Miller's $4M Payout and Ongoing Legal Battles
In late August 2024, Miller agreed to pay about $4 million to settle a lawsuit over an unpaid loan but is still extracting herself from other debts. She was also sued in September 2024 for
$194,881.89 in unpaid rent
on a $49,000-a-month Park Avenue apartment that she claims is not in her name.
Even without knowledge of her husband's financial dealings, she may be partially responsible to creditors. Legal filings suggest she is working with lawyers to clear the debts of her husband’s estate.

Miller and her two young daughters are currently focused on rebuilding their lives, seemingly out of the spotlight.
According to Times reporting
, they are living in a 2,800-square-foot oceanfront condo in Miami Beach.
