House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) revealed plans to issue “two dozen” subpoenas in the coming days targeting President Biden’s family and their overseas business dealings, Fox News reported Sunday.

In an interview on Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures,” Comer told host Maria Bartiromo that swift action is imminent. “I think you’re gonna see swift action on Biden and I would predict somewhere around two dozen subpoenas in the very near future,” he said.

The investigation seeks to uncover what role, if any, President Biden may have played in the family’s foreign business arrangements. Republicans allege Biden financially benefited from deals made by his relatives with foreign entities and have criticized federal agencies for obstructing their probe.

“This has been a painful process, Maria. We’ve been obstructed. We’ve been followed at every turn, not just by the Bidens’ big money attorneys, but also by the federal government,” Comer stated.

He accused the IRS, DOJ, Treasury Department, and FBI of impeding their work and said House Democrats have acted as the “Biden legal defense team.”

Comer contended he and others can “connect the dots” on financial transactions between Biden and family members that amount to “money laundering.” He alleged the deals were structured to “disguise the source of the revenue and to deceive the IRS from paying taxes.”

In the coming weeks, Comer predicted the Biden family will claim disputed funds were loans since loans don’t require tax reporting. “You wouldn’t know about all the money that we’re going to show that James Biden took in and Hunter Biden took in from loans. It’s an integral part of money laundering, where you deceive from the IRS about the revenue you’re taking. In other words, you’re a tax cheat,” he said.

Biden has repeatedly denied involvement in his son’s overseas ventures. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News on Comer’s remarks.
