With the Colorado Republican primary just two weeks away, polls show controversial Congresswoman Lauren Boebert holding a commanding lead over her GOP rivals in the race for the 4th congressional district nomination.  Jack Gruber, Jack Gruber / USA TODAY NETWORK

In a survey conducted May 31st by Kaplan Strategies, Boebert earned 40% support among likely Republican primary voters in the crimson-red 4th district. No other candidate came close, with businessman Peter Yu garnering just 5% as her nearest competitor.  Curtis Means/Pool via USA TODAY

The pollster noted that while Boebert continues to benefit from a "split opposition," her favorability has improved since switching from the more competitive 3rd district she currently represents.  Anna Lynn Winfrey/The Pueblo Chieftain / USA TODAY NETWORK

"While that split opposition continues to aid the Congresswoman, she has since been able to flip her image among her new electorate," pollster Doug Kaplan stated.  dougjkaplan / X

However, the path is not entirely clear for Boebert. A full 40% of respondents remain undecided on their primary vote with the election rapidly approaching on June 25th.  Element5 Digital / Unsplash

With the 4th district's R+13 partisan lean, the GOP nominee is expected to beat the Democratic candidate in November's general election.  Josh Morgan / USA TODAY NETWORK
