Remembering Matthew Perry: Funniest Chandler Moments On Friends

Beloved American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry, best known for playing the witty Chandler Bing on the hit 1990s sitcom “Friends,” died on Saturday at age 54.

According to reports from the Los Angeles Times and TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, Perry apparently drowned in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles.

NBC, the network that aired “Friends” for 10 years, confirmed Perry’s death in a statement posted on social media platform X.

Per TMZ, Perry had returned home after playing a 2-hour game of pickleball earlier that morning. He then sent his assistant out to run errands shortly after arriving home. When the assistant came back about 2 hours later, Perry was found unresponsive in the hot tub.

Law enforcement stated that no drugs were discovered at the scene and they believe no foul play was involved.
