Trump Revives Wall, Alters Immigration with CBP App Suspension

Illegal immigration has been a hot topic since Trump’s first run. He touted building a wall leading up to his first term, and the wall is back in play for his second term. President Trump has already taken action with an executive order that suspended the CBP One App.

Suspending the app is intended to make it more difficult for illegal immigrants to enter the country, though critics argue it may also hinder legal asylum seekers. President Trump also announced that he would use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to speed up the deportation of people who have illegally entered the country.  © Megan Stewart/Free Press / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Proposed 'External Revenue Service' to Shift from Taxes to Tariffs

President Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the government relying on taxing Americans too long to generate revenue. After bringing this up, Trump proposed his intention of an External Revenue Service. Which he described as a government agency that would use tariffs to raise money instead of taxing American citizens. Details on its implementation remain unclear.

It remains to be seen how the External Revenue Service will impact the Internal Revenue Service. Trump’s previous statements and inauguration speech remarks suggest that the IRS’s role will be reduced during Trump’s second term.  © Melina Mara-Pool via Imagn Images

Free Speech Concerns, Bans Federal Social Media Censorship

Trump Moves to End DEI Programs, Advocates for Merit-Based Hiring

President Trump criticized DEI protocols, emphasizing a 'color-blind' approach, though supporters of DEI argue it addresses systemic inequalities." Instead of giving preferences to job applicants based on skin color and other aesthetic factors, President Trump initiated an executive order that prioritizes meritocracy.

He has made two-gender and anti-DEI policies official in what he calls “a revolution of common sense.” Trump will also halt federal diversity programs.  © Sam Greene-Pool via Imagn Images

Musk and 'Department of Government Efficiency' to Tackle National Debt

During his inauguration, Trump announced the Department of Government Efficiency to combat excessive spending. Right now, the government regularly spends more than it extracts from U.S. citizens, resulting in higher inflation and a $36.2 trillion debt. Aimed at fiscal sustainability, its success could benefit future generations. Led by Elon Musk, the initiative might face legal hurdles before implementation.  © Sam Greene/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images
