Baltimore journalist and creator of the iconic TV series The Wire, David Simon, has strongly pushed back against claims made by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggesting the tragic bridge collapse in the city was an "intentional" act.

The Georgia congresswoman took to social media platform X in the aftermath of the catastrophic incident,
calling for
a "serious investigation" while raising doubts about whether it was "an intentional attack or an accident."

Simon, whose gritty crime drama was set in Baltimore, did not mince words in his response to Greene's insinuation.
