A photo of Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posing with a young man holding a terrified-looking Chihuahua recently went viral on social media. The image was seemingly taken at the 2022 Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida.
While Greene and the dog’s owner smile in the picture, the animal appears “petrified” and cowering from the camera according to observers. Ron Filipkowski shared the photo on X, commenting that the “look on that dog’s face says that he just got into a bad situation.”
Many social media users reacted to the photo by calling for the dog’s rescue, one user on X, @Rene_gadeCowboy suggesting it looked “traumatized.” One user claimed “all dogs hate MTG.”
Filipkowski frequently criticizes conservative figures online. He recently mocked former President Donald Trump over photos from a New Year’s Eve party, speculating Trump may have gotten a facelift. Filipkowski also poked fun at Lara Trump’s singing abilities after she released a cover song, despite objections from the original artist’s estate.
