The former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, did not hold back her criticism of former President Donald Trump during an interview with Newsweek at the Munich Security Conference. Pelosi described Trump as “grotesque” and expressed her firm belief that he should not be re-elected.

Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, responded by questioning Pelosi’s mental faculties and accusing Biden and the Democrats of bringing “misery, destruction, and chaos” to the country, according to Newsweek. Pelosi, however, remained steadfast in her support for President Biden, praising him as “very sharp” and “always on the ball.”

The interview also touched on the recent death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, which Pelosi believed was timed to coincide with the Munich Security Conference as a message from Putin. She condemned the Russian president as “evil” and called for a united front against him, urging Congress to provide funding for Ukraine’s defense.

Pelosi condemned the Russian president and called for a united front against him, urging Congress to provide funding for Ukraine’s defense. “We must decide that Russia will lose, make every decision in favor of their losing,” she said, emphasizing the importance of enforcing sanctions and providing the necessary resources to achieve victory over Russia’s aggression.

Despite her concerns about Trump and Putin, Pelosi expressed optimism about America’s NATO allies, perceiving a newfound resolve to confront the challenges posed by Russia. “I see a level of strength on their part,” she said.
