NYC Fire Chief Announces Resignation Following Mamdani’s Election Victory

New York City Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker announced his resignation just one day after Zohran Mamdani won the mayoral race, marking the end of Tucker’s tenure under Mayor Eric Adams. Tucker will officially step down on December 19, giving the department time for “an orderly transition.” Mamdani is set to take office on January 1, 2026. Adams Praises Tuckers' Leadership
