President Biden Calls Trump’s Claims of Rigged Trial ‘Irresponsible’

President Joe Biden firmly rejected former President Donald Trump's
assertions that his recent criminal trial was "rigged,"
labeling such claims as "reckless," "dangerous," and "irresponsible."

On Friday, Biden addressed the verdict in Trump's New York hush money case, in which the former president was found guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. While acknowledging Trump's right to appeal, Biden emphasized the integrity of the legal process.

"It's reckless, it's dangerous, it's irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged just because they don't like the verdict," Biden
stated
. "Our justice system should be respected, and we should never allow anyone to tear it down; it's as simple as that."

The president highlighted that Trump's attorneys participated in jury selection and that the 12-person jury heard five weeks of evidence before reaching their decision.

Biden also clarified that it was a state case, not a federal one, refuting Trump's claims of Biden administration involvement. "The American principle that no one is above the law was reaffirmed. Donald Trump was given every opportunity to defend himself."

While Trump has denounced the verdict as a "scam" and "rigged," Biden maintained, "It's reckless, it's dangerous, it's irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged just because they don't like the verdict."
