Video of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene seeming to be interrupted by Rep. Jim Jordan during an impromptu press conference outside Congress has circulated widely online, amassing over 1 million views.

Jordan and Rep. James Comer, chairs of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees respectively, spoke to press after Hunter Biden defied a subpoena to provide closed-door testimony to Republicans probing his father. Hunter insisted he would only appear publicly.

On Wednesday, House Republicans officially began impeachment proceedings against President Biden over accusations he improperly profited from his son’s business dealings, without any GOP “no” votes. Biden asserted Republicans are “attacking me with lies” rather than “helping make Americans’ lives better.”

During the press conference, Comer claimed discovering “cheques from one of Hunter Biden’s shell companies that were going into an account for Joe Biden monthly.” The White House previously said the money repaid a loan.

Greene then remarked: “I would have liked to have asked Hunter Biden about Mann Act violations, sex trafficking women…” At this point Jordan interrupted, ending the event: “Thank you all very much, thank you.”

Unfazed, Greene persisted: “across state lines, that would have been a good question. You don’t seem to care about that though.” She provided no evidence Hunter Biden violated the 1910 Mann Act banning human trafficking.

Mike Sington, an ex-NBC exec, posted on X: “Even the MAGA Republicans are repulsed by her. Press conference abruptly ended by Jim Jordan when Marjorie Taylor Greene starts shouting out nonsense from the sidelines.”

Comer and Jordan vowed contempt proceedings against Hunter Biden, saying: “We will not provide special treatment because his last name is Biden.”

Hunter reiterated his testimony offer but only publicly, stating: “I am here.”
