that had previously forced out the previous speaker.

On Saturday, after the House passed the aid packages, Greene accused Johnson of "betraying" the American people. "This is the third betrayal by Mike Johnson,"
she told reporters
, also criticizing him for renewing the Foreign Surveillance Act and funding the Department of Justice.

Despite Greene's claim that support for ousting Johnson was "growing," only a handful of far-right Republicans, including Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), have publicly backed her effort so far.

Greene warned, "Republican voters will not vote for this again. We will lose the majority in 2025."

However, other Republicans have praised Johnson's leadership and his ability to work across the aisle. "I am so proud of the speaker, Mike Johnson. He went through a transformation,"
