Daryl Cagle started the Cagle.com Web site in 1996 as The Professional Cartoonists Index. The Cagle Cartoons syndicate started in 2000 when Daryl was drawing daily editorial cartoons for Gannett’s Honolulu Advertiser newspaper. Daryl gathered a group of five, brilliant cartoonist friends and started a “package” cartoon subscription service.
