Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis initially declined to voluntarily share records about her alleged relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade, citing “well-recognized confidentiality interests,”
according to The New York Post
. Despite acknowledging her personal ties to Wade on Friday, Willis argued that this revelation should not lead to the dismissal of the charges against Donald Trump and others involved in the case.

Fani Willis acknowledged having a "personal relationship" with lead prosecutor Nathan Wade but argues this should not invalidate the charges against former President Donald Trump and others. "In 2022, District Attorney Willis and I developed a personal relationship in addition to our professional association and friendship," Wade wrote in an affidavit released by Willis' office,
according to The Post

However, the filing said there was no "personal relationship" when Wade was originally appointed in November 2021. "Although District Attorney Willis and Special Prosecutor Wade have been professional associates and friends since 2019, there was no personal relationship between them in November 2021 at the time of Special Prosecutor Wade’s appointment," the court papers said.
