- Criticized Rashida Tlaib for having a "Free Palestine" map in her office labeled over Israel
- Mocked AOC for telling people not to have kids due to climate change worries
- Dismissed calls for Hamas cease-fires since group vows to never stop attacks
- Blamed "jealousy, fear and misinformation" for liberal opposition to Israel
Comedic actor Jon Lovitz slammed Senator Bernie Sanders and members of the “Squad” for their criticism of Israel in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.
Lovitz, who is Jewish, called Sanders the “best example” of a “self-loathing Jew,” saying the Democratic Socialist senator is “disgusting” for wanting to cut military funding for Israel.
“And [Sanders is] saying, you know, we shouldn’t have money for, you know, fund Israel, you know, and the Squad, those people… It’s no secret they’re horribly antisemitic,” Lovitz said.
He specifically called out Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) for having a map in her office with a post-it note labeled “Palestine” over Israel, which Lovitz said shows she wants to “get rid of Israel.”
“They want to get rid of Israel. ‘Well, just because you want to get rid of Israel doesn’t mean you’re antisemitic.’ Well, yeah, it kind of does because it’s a Jewish state,” Lovitz said.
Lovitz also criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for telling people not to have children due to climate change worries.
“So you’re telling all the people of your generation don’t have kids. Then in 50 years, there’s nobody left on the Earth, moron!” Lovitz said.
In addition, Lovitz dismissed calls for cease-fires with Hamas, saying, “How can you have a cease-fire against Hamas when Hamas says we’re never stopping til you’re all gone?”
When asked why many liberals oppose Israel, Lovitz blamed “jealousy, fear and misinformation.” He emphasized that over 500,000 Palestinians work in Israel and rely on its economy.
Overall, Lovitz lamented the Democratic Party’s shift against Israel support.
“Before this happened…the Democrats had always been pro-Israel in years past,” he said.
