As Colorado's primary election nears, Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is facing criticism from an unexpected source: "Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill. Boebert, currently representing Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, is vying for the GOP nomination in the state's 4th District.

Boebert has been a controversial figure since taking office in 2021. Her campaign has been overshadowed by an incident last September when she was removed from a Denver theater during a performance of "Beetlejuice" for disruptive behavior, including vaping and engaging in disruptive acts with her date,

Democratic candidate John Padora, hoping to challenge Boebert in November,
recently released a campaign video
filmed in the same theater seat where Boebert's incident occurred. Padora referred to Boebert as an "opportunist carpetbagger."

Hamill
shared Padora's video on X
, urging Colorado voters: "Hey Colorado- Please vote for John Padora. Not only is he the far superior candidate, but it will give his opponent plenty of free time to catch the ending of the #BeetlejuiceMusical she missed the first time. #WinWin."

Padora expressed gratitude for Hamill's support,

Despite the controversy, recent polling suggests Boebert maintains strong support among likely Republican voters. A Kaplan Strategies poll from May 31 showed 40% of respondents planning to support Boebert, with another 40% undecided,

The Democratic primary for Colorado's 4th District also appears competitive,

As the primary approaches, the outcome of both party nominations remains uncertain, with the 4th District seat expected to be won by a Republican in November.
