Tiger Woods can breathe a sigh of relief as his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has withdrawn her appeal and allegations of sexual assault against the golf superstar.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Herman filed notice dismissing her appeal which sought to nullify a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) she signed with Woods in 2017.

Herman had cited Florida’s Speak Out Act, which allows NDAs to be voided in cases of sexual assault, to appeal the NDA. However, in her latest filing Herman clarified “she was never a victim of sexual harassment or sexual abuse at the hands of Tiger Woods.” The appeal was formally dismissed by court order on Tuesday.

Previously in December, Herman had sued Woods for $30 million, claiming he wrongfully evicted her from his home before her alleged 5-year residency agreement expired. She also filed to be released from the NDA based on the sexual assault law.

Herman’s initial complaint alleged she and Woods “had a long relationship” that was personal and professional. It stated Herman was “unsure what other information about her own life she may discuss” due to the NDA.

Woods’ legal team disputed Herman’s claims as an “abuse of the judicial process” and noted she voluntarily signed the confidentiality agreement in 2017 after spending years enjoying its benefits. They alleged Herman was making false sexual assault implications in bad faith.

Ultimately Herman dropped the $30 million lawsuit in July over her alleged eviction. The former restaurant manager and Woods dated from 2017 up until their split in 2022. Their relationship was kept very private compared to Woods’ past high-profile romances.

With her appeals and lawsuits withdrawn, Woods appears to be in the clear regarding the sexual assault and eviction allegations levied by his ex-girlfriend. The golfing legend is currently recovering from an ankle injury as he aims to tie Sam Snead’s record of 82 PGA tour victories.
