In brief…

  • Whoopi Goldberg commanded her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, to "listen" as the panel devolved into chaos during a contentious argument over the prior night's GOP debate.
  • Conservative Griffin heatedly defended GOP candidate Nikki Haley, to the frustration of co-host Sunny Hostin.
  • The panel continued to duke it out, even after a commercial break.

“The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg commanded her co-host, conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin, to “listen” during Thursday’s show as the panel devolved into chaos during a heated argument over the prior night’s Republican presidential debate.

Goldberg tried to stay calm as Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin launched into a shout-filled debate over the debate the GOP night before.

After letting Hostin and Farah Griffin argue for a bit, Whoopi intervened.

Farah Griffin glanced at the producer each time she was interrupted. When she finally got to speak, she grew angry as the show’s theme music started playing to transition to commercial.

Griffin, a former Trump White House aide, seemed ready to defend Nikki Haley, but appeared frustrated when her comments were cut off mid-sentence by the music.

“I had a lot more to say!” she exclaimed.

Goldberg sarcastically replied that the show is only an hour long.

Nikki Haley was a major point of contention, with Hostin calling her a “hypocrite” and Farah Griffin arguing Haley laid out good policies and ideas.

Goldberg demanded to know what Haley actually did as UN ambassador. Farah Griffin interrupted, claiming Haley was a successful two-term governor. Goldberg dismissed the claim.

After the commercial break, the shouting continued, with Hostin criticizing Haley’s environmental stances and Farah Griffin talking over Hostin as she tried to defend Haley. When Behar asked about Haley’s Ukraine stance, Farah Griffin began responding as the theme music played, once again stopping her abruptly. She then threw her hands up in frustration.

Political combat is nothing new for the ladies of “The View.” Goldberg compared Trump supporters to cult members during a tense interview with former aide Cassidy Hutchinson just days earlier.
