Fox News Host Calls Out Trump Over Biden Jab
By Jake Beardslee · December 22, 2025
President Donald Trump faced rare on-air criticism from Fox News after a network host publicly distanced himself from Trump’s decision to install a series of mocking plaques targeting past U.S. presidents at the White House.
The moment unfolded on Fox & Friends, where co-host Brian Kilmeade reacted to Trump’s unveiling of what the White House has described as the “Presidential Walk of Fame.” The display features portraits and commentary on former presidents lining hallways connecting the Oval Office to the South Lawn.
Kilmeade made clear he did not support the move, telling viewers he was “not for” the decision. He further noted that history has often reassessed presidents once considered failures, pointing out that “some presidents” viewed as “bad” during their time in office later came to be seen as exceptional.
Among the plaques was one aimed at former President Joe Biden, which read, “Sleepy Joe Biden was, by far, the worst president in American history.” Biden’s portrait was replaced with a photograph of an autopen rather than a traditional image.
Another plaque targeted former President Barack Obama, labeling him “one of the most divisive political figures in American history,” according to reporting by the Express.
A third plaque beneath former President Bill Clinton referenced the 2016 election, stating, “In 2016, President Clinton’s wife, Hillary Clinton, lost the presidency to President Donald J Trump!”
Kilmeade’s comments marked an unusual departure from Fox News’ typically supportive tone toward Trump. The segment highlighted unease among some conservative commentators over the president’s focus on personal attacks rather than policy priorities.
The exhibit and Kilmeade’s comments quickly ignited backlash online. One social media user said, “Acting like he (Kilmeade) doesn’t know that this is who Donald is.” Another added, “Sorry, Mr Kilmeade, you’ve been sliding down the slippery slope for quite a while now.”
