Vice President JD Vance Pushes Back on Zelensky’s Oval Office Request

U.S. Vice President JD Vance was the first to push back on Zelensky’s request, telling him: “With respect, I think it’s disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media.”

When Zelensky attempted to respond, Trump interrupted, his tone growing sharper. “You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people,” he said. “You’re not in a good position right now.”

Trump continued: “You’re gambling with World War Three, and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to this country, this country that’s backed you far more than a lot of people say they should have.”  The White House / Wikimedia

Following the White House dispute, Caine took to X with a terse message aimed directly at Trump:

“Calm down Trump.”

He then followed up with a nod to one of his most famous film lines, tweaking it to fit the situation:

“You’re only suppose to sign a cease fire [sic].”
