Calvarese's campaign has seen a significant boost in fundraising since Boebert became her opponent following the June 25 primary.
In just over three months, Calvarese has amassed more than $2.3 million from 110,000 donations.

This surge in financial support was partly fueled by a viral video mocking Boebert's behavior at a "Beetlejuice" musical performance in September 2023, as well as Calvarese's appearances in national media.

"We are so thrilled and we have a ton of momentum," Calvarese
stated
in a recent interview with Axios.

However, she acknowledges the need for substantially more funds to compete effectively in Colorado's most Republican-leaning district against Boebert, who is known for her fundraising prowess.

Financial reports indicate that Boebert spent $4.2 million on her GOP primary campaign but still retained $530,000 as of July 1 for the general election,
according to Axios
.
Her campaign anticipates raising significantly more, having already collected $3.9 million in the first half of the year.

In contrast, Calvarese raised $517,000 through July 15, spending $301,000 on her primary campaign.
She entered the general election with only $160,000 in her campaign coffers and $27,000 in debts.
Campaign funds are likely crucial, as they will enable Calvarese to run television advertisements increasing her name recognition and presenting her case against her opponent.
Recognizing this, Calvarese affirmed, "We're going to keep the pedal to the medal in fundraising."
