Netflix Restores Service After Six-Hour Outage During Tyson vs. Paul Match

Netflix was back online Saturday morning after a six-hour outage that impacted users across the United States. The outage, which began Friday night, coincided with the highly anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, a fight that drew a large audience.  Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images

The outage tracking website, Downdetector.com, reported that the number of user complaints about accessing Netflix had dropped to fewer than 100 by 5 a.m. ET (1000 GMT).  Ookla

At the height of the outage, which began on Friday night, Downdetector recorded more than 90,000 reports of problems. The timing was particularly unfortunate for fans who were eagerly anticipating a highly publicized boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which Paul ultimately won.  Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images
