Rally Comments Stir Speculation About 2028 Intentions

Trump Says He's "Not Joking" About Another Run
Nonetheless, the president has continued to entertain the idea of a third term. In a recent phone interview with NBC News, he stated, "A lot of people want me to do it," adding, "But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration." Constitution Blocks More Than Two Presidential Terms

Poll Shows Most Americans Reject Third-Term Idea
Public sentiment appears to support the constitutional limitation. According to a Reuters/Ipsos national poll conducted April 16–21, three-quarters of respondents said Trump should not run for a third term.
